Frequently asked questions
How does the AI know what to say?
It reads your Shopify catalogue, variants, stock, shipping rules and returns policy directly, then generates each reply against the specific cart in front of it. Nothing is templated. If a customer asks something it can't source from your store data, it says so and hands the thread to your team rather than guessing.
Will this annoy my customers?
Auto Recover starts with one message per abandoned cart. If the customer replies, the AI continues the conversation naturally. If they don't reply, a single follow-up may be sent with an extra incentive. Quiet hours are enforced in the customer's own timezone and STOP is honoured immediately and permanently. Across stores running Auto Recover, the opt-out rate sits around 0.4% — lower than most abandoned-cart email flows.
Does it replace my Klaviyo flows?
No — keep them. Auto Recover picks up the carts your email flows didn't close, which is the overwhelming majority of them. On the Growth plan it syncs both ways with Klaviyo so a customer who's already converted from email never gets a text.
Can I stop it offering discounts?
Yes. Set the ceiling to 0% and it will never offer one — it'll handle the objection on value, shipping or payment terms instead. Or cap it at, say, 10% and free shipping, and it can't go beyond that even if the customer pushes. Roughly a third of recovered carts involve no discount at all.
How is recovered revenue attributed?
Recovered revenue is measured on orders that Auto Recover had an effect on, where the customer clicks the link from the message or uses the discount code provided by the AI.
Is it GDPR compliant?
We only message customers who gave marketing consent at checkout, and consent state is read from Shopify on every send. Data is processed in the EU and UK, a DPA is available on request, and conversation records are deleted on request or after 24 months by default.
What happens during the free trial?
You get 7 days free. Connect your store and Auto Recover goes to work immediately — you get your own SMS number and it starts recovering carts on day one, with no card needed to begin. The monthly fee on your plan is free for those 7 days; the percentage share of anything it recovers still applies. Approve your subscription in Shopify before day 7 and nothing changes. If you don't, sending pauses and we let you know — your number is held for another 7 days in case you want to pick it back up.
Is there a plan for larger brands?
Yes. There are two plans with every feature included: Starter at £9 a month plus 10% of recovered revenue, and Growth at £49 a month plus 5%. You can switch between them any time. For high-volume stores we put together a custom enterprise package — a negotiated monthly fee and a lower percentage. Get in touch and we'll price it around your volumes.
